LUCKNOW: In a new twist, police constable Chandrapal--gunner of gang rape accused UP minister Gayatri Prajapati, was arrested from Jankipuram locality of State capital Lucknow here on Monday. Chandrapal is a co-accused along with four other persons including the minister in a gang rape and sexual harassment case.

Non-bailable warrants were issued by the police against the absconding minister and six other persons while his passport was impounded and a look-out notice was issued against him in the last couple of days.

Chandrapal, who was arrested at the Police Lines here, said that he accompanied the minister till February 27, the day Amethi went to poll under fifth phase. Gayatri Prajapati has been eluding the police net since then.
