NEW DELHI: Stop 'Mahabharat' in the premier investigating agency CBI, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh said in the Rajya Sabha today.

He was referring to reports about internal tussle in the agency between two senior officers.

Participating in the debate on amendments to the law on prevention of corruption, Singh said "the CBI is our prime institution. See what Mahabharat is going on. Stop the 'Mahabharat' there. If an officer investigating several cases is being investigated, then what will happen to the institution."

He also alleged that an officer has taken a bribe from Sterling Biotech.

Referring to the Rafale deal, Singh said the government did not follow any protocol while signing an agreement with France and was also not disclosing the price of fighter jets to be purchased.

"Will this scam be probed under this law," he sought to know.

Raising a point of order, BJP leader Bhupender Singh asked the Chair to expunge Singh's reference to cases which are being investigated and the decisions still pending in the court.
