Chakkaramavin Kombath.

According to director Tony Chittettukalam, she will play a character with dark shades, someone who is busy chasing money, even at the cost of her family.

“We were looking for someone who could play the character with dignity, yet look fresh,” says Tony. “I had known Meera before and she seemed perfect to play Dr Lucy Mathew. When I approached her, she was only happy to do the role.”

He adds that Meera had done a great job. However, he says this isn’t a female-oriented subject. “I would rather call it a subject-oriented movie. The story is the hero. However, Meera’s character has a certain depth to it,” he adds.

Chakkaramavin Kombath, which will hit the screens this July 14, narrates the tale of two families with different ways of living. “This is the tale of human values. While one family is after money, their son feels left out. His attention is diverted to his neighbours, who are rooted in love,” says Tony.

The movie will have Harisree Ashokan in a prominent role. “He plays a different avatar. Joy Mathew plays Ali Mamookka, an interesting character, who is close to all and respected. Anjali and child actor Gaurav Menon will have significant roles,” says the director.
