AIZAWL:  Election to the 25-member Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC) will be held on May 4, Mizoram State Election Commissioner (SEC) L Tochhong said today.     

Announcing the election date, Tochhong said that the last day of filing nominations was April 19 while counting would be held on May 8.     

The main contest is expected to be between the ruling Congress and opposition alliance of Mizo National Front (MNF) and Mara Democratic Front (MDF).
