Two suspected militants arrested with firearms from Kupwara

SRINAGAR: Security forces arrested two suspected militants and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession in the frontier district of Kupwara, official sources said here on Friday.

Acting on a specific information, troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police arrested two suspected persons identified as Rameez Lone and Amir Ahmad at Izgund khumriyal in Kupwara.

A pistol, two magazines and three hand grenades were recovered from their possession.

A case has been registered and further investigation taken up, the sources added.
