New Delhi, Nov 13 (PTI) Castor seed prices came down byRs 23 to Rs 4,290 per quintal in futures trading today astraders preferred to offload holdings, reflecting muted demandin the spot market.
Market players said drop in demand in soap, lubricant andpaint industries in spot markets weighed on castor seedfutures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, castorseed delivery for the immediate contract November slipped byRs 23, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 4,290 per quintal, showing anopen interest of 19,170 lots.
Delivery of the most-active near contract December moveddown by Rs 16, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 4,350 per quintal, inan open interest of 7,90,890 lots. PTI SDG SDOARD.
