HYDERABAD: The Praja Rajyam party has secured the `sun with rays’ as its permanent election symbol. The Election Commission of India has informed the party about the allotment officially today.
The party representatives recently met the ECI officials at Delhi and submitted an application seeking the symbol - Sun with rays around or the wheel of the bullock cart as a permanent symbol.As the party has secured recognition from the ECI as State party, the latter has accepted the plea and allotted the Sun as permanent symbol.
The party has chosen Sun not only as a symbol but it has it on the party flag.
