HYDERABAD: BJP senior leader and former Union minister B Dattatreya has urged chief minister N Kirankumar Reddy to exert pressure on the central government for introduction of a bill on Telangana during the current session of Parliament.

The BJP leader, in an open letter to the chief minister today, reviewed Kiran Kumar Reddy’s 100 days of performance as the chief minister. Dattatreya said the chief minister had himself admittted that he was unable to discharge his duties properly due to “speed-breakers”. The chief minister was moving without any direction nor did he have clarity of vision.

‘’The Congress high command selected Reddy for chief minister’s post to checkmate YS Jaganmohan Reddy and dilute the Telangana movement.’’ Ministers were not cooperating with the chief minister and they were openly expressing their displeasure over Kirankumar Reddy’s style of functioning, he said.

Dattatreya alleged that the chief minister was ruling the state without enjoying majority in the Assembly. The Rachabanda programme was a total failure since it did not solve a single problem.

The chief minister failed to implement his 100-day plan which was launched with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore.
