Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Bangaru Laxman, who was convicted by the CBI special court in a fake defence deal in a sting operation, on Saturday expressed confidence that he would finally win the legal battle. There was a conspiracy behind the entire affair, he said.
Laxman, who got bail from the Delhi High Court on October 11, reached the city on Saturday. BJP leaders and cadre organised a grand reception to the 72-year-old Dalit leader at the Shamshabad airport. Party senior leaders Ch Vidyasagar Rao, B Dattatreya and several other leaders received Laxman at the airport. BJP Dalit Morcha state and city committees organised a rally from the airport to Laxman’s house at Srinagar Colony in Punjagutta.
