Ajeya Kallam, a 1983-batch IAS officer, has been posted as principal secretary to the chief minister.
Kallam, who is chairman of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT), has been relieved from central services.
With the appointment of Kallam, there will now be two principal secretaries in the chief minister’s office, the other being Binoy Kumar. According to sources, both the officers have more or less same years of service. Kallam joined the central services on September 1, 1983 and Binoy Kumar on August 29, 1983.
