VRO caught taking bribe

RS Rangapuram village revenue officer S Rahamathullah was caught red-handed by ACB officials on Friday when he demanded and accepted Rs 5,000 as bribe from an anganwadi teacher in exchange of an official favour.

The VRO demanded bribe of `5,000 to process the pattadar passbook and title deed from the aganwadi worker, B Srilaxmi Devi, who informed the ACB officials, who in turn laid trap and caught the VRO red-handed. Rahamathullah has been arrested and will be produced before the special court of the ACB in Kurnool.
