Anam Viveka refutes charges

Express News Service

Nellore rural MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Saturday rubbished the allegation by some YSRC leaders that the Anam family had earned crores of rupees during the tenure of the late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Talking to newsmen here, he said that his family had been basking in ‘political glory’ over the last six decades and that it was financially well off even during the days when YSR’s father Raja Reddy was conducting cock fights in Kadapa district.

The MLA recalled that his family had given a lot of support to YSR when he was under asort of ‘political cloud’ as APCC president and no one dared even to meet him openly.

He refuted the charge by YSRC honorary president YS Vijayamma that the Congress was responsible for her son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy languishing in jail. Pointing out that Jagan was in jail for looting public money by misusing the powers of YSR, he asked why Vijayamma had not tried to stop the loot.
