IPL betting racket busted

The Kurnool police have busted three gangs involved in cricket betting and arrested 17 bookies, seized Rs 4.47 lakh, 17 cell phones from them late  Sunday night at various places in the district.

According to SP S Chandrasekhar Reddy, 8 members were involved in betting activities for the past few months. The leader of the gang is B Linga Reddy, other bookies are T Shafi Ulla, S Sardhar, S Basheer, S Chand Basha, S Mohiddin, S Shekshavali, S Erfan, all belonging to Kurnool town.
