Vizag-Delhi Air India flight develops snag

Air travellers in the Delhi-bound Air India flight from Visakhapatnam, spent anxious moments when the flight in which they were travelling was detected with a problem in its engine parameters and had to make an unscheduled landing at Nagpur on Monday.

Sources said that the flight AI 452 took off from Visakhapatnam with 174 passengers and crew on-board at 9 am on Monday. However, after about one-and-half hours in the air, the pilots detected fluctuations in the engine parameters and are learnt to have decided to land the flight at Nagpur. The flight made a landing at 11.10 am.

A relief flight along with manpower and material was rushed to Nagpur. The engineers fixed the problem and the flight took off at around 2.40 pm for Delhi.
