Microsoft chairman Bill Gates visited the International Crops Research Institute for Semi Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) at Patancheru in Medak district on Thursday afternoon. Bill Gates Foundation is one of the top donor of Icrisat. He spent nearly three hours from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. at Icrisat and interacted with the scientists.
The scientists informed him about the research work being done there. Due to security reasons even Icrisat officials were not informed about his visit, it is learnt.
