TDP, YSRC's third front talk to help Congress: BJP

Express News Service

The BJP has accused the TDP and YSRCP of indirectly supporting the ‘corrupt’ Congress in the disguise of third front.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, BJP spokesman NVVS Prabhakar said both TDP and YRSC were talking of supporting a third front to form government at the Centre but as there was a very less possibility of a third front coming into existence, both the parties would end up supporting the Congress-led government. He said the Telugu Desam and the YSR Congress were criticising each other in public for political gain  but were, in reality, two sides of the same coin.

Formation of a third front government at the Centre would not be in the interest of the state, Prabhakar said and recalled that the  National Front government had ignored Andhra Pradesh in the matter of funds and  schemes. On the other hand, the state  benefited immensely when the BJP-led NDA government was in power, he said.

He hinted at political realignments in the state, particularly in Telangana, after BJP president Rajnath Singh’s public meeting in the city on June 3.
