Vivek, Manda, KK to join TRS on June 2

Express News Service

Following the expiry of the deadline set for the Congress high command to make a positive announcement over the Telangana issue, two Telangana Congress MPs -- G Vivekananda (Peddapalli) and Manda Jagannadham (Nagarkurnool) -- along with former PCC chief K Kesava Rao bid adieu to the Congress on Thursday. They will join the separatist TRS on June 2.

The trio, who have been holding a series of meetings with TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao for the past few days on joining his party, on Thursday announced their decision of joining the separatist party on June 2 at a public meeting at Nizam College Grounds here.

A lengthy meeting with KCR, his son KT Rama Rao and TRS leader E Rajender at the residence of MP Vivek preceded the announcement. The trio blamed the Congress high command’s failure to keep its word on the Telangana issue for their decision to quit the party.
