Students Showcase Smart Project for New State at Expo

VIJAYAWADA: As the truncated state needs huge transformation in sectors like infrastructure, health and agriculture, the students of Andhra Loyola College (ALC) in the city came up with several innovative projects that would help build/develop a new and vibrant state, during the two-day ‘Arts, Commerce and Science Exhibition’ organised on Monday and Tuesday.

As many as 1,000 projects were displayed by the college students during the event.

Physics department head and event organising committee head CH Srinivas told TNIE that they aimed at highlighting various innovative projects in the field of science and technology, which would boost the development of the state with the potential of the available resources. “A lot of research has to be done in various fields to find solutions for the global problems. This is a great initiative by our students in this regard.”

Innovative projects like model of a smart city, Li-Fi technology, hydraulic transplantation and voice-operated elevator for differently-abled people grabbed the attention of the public on the occasion.
