Varun Group Health Centre Gets Advanced Medical Equipment

VISAKHAPATNAM: Varun Group’s Navaratnam-Kesava Rao Charitable Trust on the VIP Road, is introducing advanced medical screening tests at lesser costs to make health care accessible to the common man. The establishment has been rendering health services to the poor for some time now.

As a part of development of the centre, ultrasonography facility and immunoassay analyser was set up Monday. The equipment will be inaugurated Tuesday by Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, while district collector N Yuvaraj will open the outpatient floor at 5.30 pm. With the new ultrasonography equipment, the poor can undergo 14 critical medical examinations in the centre. Except for the head, the systees in place are equipped to screen all other parts of the body for any diseases.

Varun Group managing director V Prabhu Kishore said that the health centres have been augmented as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

All medical tests would be offered at a low cost, he added.

The Trust has also been running similar health centres in Etcherla mandal in Srikakulam and Movva mandal in Krishna district, Prabhu Kishore said.
