Paramotor Sport in City from Nov 17

VISAKHAPATNAM : For the first time in the State, Vizag will be a spot for ‘Paramotor Tandem Trike’ adventure sport. City-based Crescent Adventure and Water Sports will kick-start the sport on November 17.

After obtaining permission from the State government and tying up with APTDC, the local company with a trained pilot and other precautionary measures, will conduct the adventure sport. Bheemili, Rushikonda and Sagarnagar areas have been identified for the event, where the paramotor will take off and land. Only one passenger will be allowed on the ride, accompanied by a trained and certified pilot from Benguluru.

“The joyride will be over 500 feet to 2,000 feet in the air. We will provide all the equipment, including safe life jacket, helmet and other things. Only adults will be allowed,” said Mdf Rahaman, from Crescent Adventure and Water Sports.

The organisers charge `2,500 for a 10-minute trip and `3,000 for a 15-minute ride in the sky. A stall had been set up at the Expo, where advance booking can be made.
