Roads and Building superintending engineer under Anti-Corruption Bureau scanner in Andhra Pradesh

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials carried out a search in the house of superintending engineer K V Raghavendra Rao of the Roads & Buildings Department in Guntur district today.

VIJAYAWADA: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials carried out a search in the house of superintending engineer K V Raghavendra Rao of the Roads and Buildings Department in Guntur district on Thursday.

They are said to be investigation leads indicating that the engineer possessed assets disproportionate to his income.

In all, nine teams of ACB officials conducted raids on the properties of Raghavendra Rao and his relatives in Guntur, Mangalagiri, Phirangipuram, Sattenapalli and Machilipatnam in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh

According to sources, ACB officials have so far seized 250 gm of gold, 3 kg of silver, 5.5 lakh cash. It was learnt that total value of the assets calculated so is estimated to be around Rs 2.41 crore and the amount is likely to increase further.
