11 kids develop high fever, vomiting after injection at SVR Ruia Government Hospital in Tirupati

All of them were administered ‘Septran’ injection earlier in the day at the hospital as part of routine health care measure.

TIRUPATI: Tense situation prevailed at SVR Ruia Government Hospital here on Thursday afternoon when worried parents started bringing their children to pediatric ward with complaints of vomiting and high fever after they were administered ‘Septran’ injection earlier in the day at the hospital. By 5 p.m., a total of 11 children aged between 3 months and 10 years were brought to the hospital.

All of them were administered ‘Septran’ injection earlier in the day at the hospital as part of routine health care measure.  Later, they were administered Avil and Decadron injections. After observing them for a couple of hours, the doctors said that all of the children were safe. All of them were put under observation rd for the next 24 hours.
