ONGOLE: Senior leader from Giddalur and former Congress MLA Pagadala Ramaiah passed away on Monday morning. He was unwell for quite some time and has been admitted to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad.

On Monday morning, his condition suddenly worsened and he breathed his last at around 8 am. Ramaiah hailed from Chinnaganipalle in Racharla mandal of Prakasam district. Several Congress leaders condoled his death.

YSRCP coordinator for Giddalur Assembly constituency I V Reddy paid rich tributes to Ramaiah and said he had worked with dedication and determination for the uplift of downtrodden sections of the society.
His last rites were performed at Chinnaganipalle on Monday evening.
