VIJAYAWADA: Condemning the attack on YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the BJP demanded that the State government order a judicial investigation into the issue. BJP leaders took to Twitter to criticise the TDP government for failing to provide security to the Opposition Leader and termed the attack a failure of law and order situation in the State.

“The attack on Jagan Mohan Reddy is an inhuman act. We condemn it and every political party should do so in unison. Since it occurred at the high-security Vizag airport, it is suspicious. The State government should immediately order a judicial inquiry and punish the culprits,” BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao tweeted.

BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana said the TDP government should take responsibility for the attack. “Jagan is attacked in Visakhapatnam. Our national president was attacked in Tirupati. I was attacked [in Kavali]. There was an attempt to attack Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. This shows that a dangerous situation to eliminate the Opposition leaders is prevailing in Andhra Pradesh.”
