NEW DELHI: Four district courts and two CRPF schools in the national capital received a bomb threat on Tuesday, prompting authorities to conduct thorough checks before declaring the alerts a hoax, officials said.

According to the fire department, information was received around 9 am regarding alleged explosives at CRPF schools in Rohini and Dwarka. “The calls were also received about bombs at four district courts — Dwarka, Rohini, Saket and Patiala House. Fire tenders were rushed to the sites immediately to assist with security checks,” a fire official said.

Police said an email warning of explosives planted on court premises was received early in the morning. Following the alert, the bomb disposal squad, and multiple security units were deployed across all six locations, where extensive search operations were initiated.

Later, after detailed checks, nothing suspicious was found. Officials said the source of the email is being traced, and an investigation has been initiated.

In a statement, the New Delhi Bar Association informed members that security agencies at Patiala House Courts had implemented all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Judicial Officers, Bar members, staff and the public.

Members were urged not to panic and to cooperate with security personnel. They were also advised to allow frisking of bags whenever requested. “If any unidentified object is found, please inform the nearest security personnel immediately,” the statement added.
