MANGALORE: Pinning delays in file clearance as the main reason behind corruption, Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda expressed hope of expediting clearance of files, by conducting video conferences with deputy commissioners and chief executive officers from the coming week.

"As part of a strategy to curb corruption in administration, video conferencing would also include tahsildars, as they are the officials responsible for the delay in execution of work in taluk level offices,” Gowda said after his arrival at Mangalore Airport.
