Union Labour Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, who represents Gulbarga constituency in Parliament, has lambasted former deputy chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council B R Patil for his statement that he experienced a suffocating atmosphere in the Congress and he was neglected by the party because of which he joined the KJP. Kharge said Patil came to the Congress from the JD(S), and now he deserted the Congress to join the KJP “in hope of a better future”.
