Man held for raping minor

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on Friday for allegedly raping a minor recently at his printing press in  Kadolkar Galli in Belgaum.

The accused has been identified as Praveen Togale (35). According to sources, the victim was an employee at the printing press. On June 5, Togale asked the girl to come at 8 am to the printing press and when she arrived, Togale allegedly raped her. Later he dropped the victim near her relatives residence at Angol. According to a complaint filed by the family of the victim, the accused had threatened the girl of dire consequences if she reported the incident to anyone. It was only on Thursday that she revealed the whole incident to her family who filed a complaint against Togale. A case has been registered at the Khade Bazar Police Station.
