Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dr G Parameshwara met disgruntled party leader, D K Shivakumar, who is yet to take oath as a member of the Assembly.

The party president on Monday visited Shivakumar’s residence and spoke to the latter for more than 30 minutes. Parameshwara reportedly tried to persuade Shivakumar to take oath in the Assembly.  Shivakumar, who was nursing an ambition to head the state, just like Parameshwara, is reportedly upset for not even being included in the Cabinet by CM Siddaramaiah. KPCC president described his visit to Shivakumar as a ‘courtesy call.’ However, party sources said he reportedly advised Shivakumar to take oath, else it may send a wrong signal in the party circle.
