KPCC focuses on Lok Sabha

Sensing early elections to the Lok Sabha, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dr G Parameshwara said the party would send observers to all the 28 parliamentary constituencies of the state to shortlist the candidates.

After welcoming JD(S) leader Muddahanume Gowda to the Congress here on Friday, he told reporters that the observers would be asked to send a report to the party after eliciting opinions from the rank and file before recommending names. Soon after receiving the observers’ report, a team of senior party leaders will tour all the 28 constituencies and select candidates. In the evening, the KPCC president met former external affairs minister S M Krishna.
