Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah's eldest son passes away in Belgium

39-year-old Rakesh, elder son of CM Siddaramaiah passed away due to the multiple organ failure following pancreatitis.

July 22- Rakesh Siddaramaiah, along with five other friends travelled to Brussels.

July 24- Rakesh complained about severe pain in his stoamch.

July 25- Rakesh is said to have fainted.

Following this, he was rushed to a local hospital. It was then that his friends made a phone call to Siddaramaiah informing him about his son's sudden illness.

It is said that Rakesh had low BP that had lead to him falling unconscious.

July 27- Doctors performed a major surgery on Rakesh.

July 28- As the conditions were still critical, Rakesh had another minor surgery done.

Rakesh had developed complications in his pancreas following a road accident few years back. Since the accident, he was undergoing treatment.

BENGALURU: The Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son who was hospitalised in an hospital at Belgium passed away on Saturday.

Rakesh Siddaramaiah (39), the elder son of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah passed away due to the multiple organ failure following pancreatitis. Rakesh was admitted at the hospital in Belgium as he fell sick during his Belgium trip with his friends last week.

The sources from the CM office confirmed that Rakesh did not respond to the treatment.

Rakesh, who had celebrated his birthday recently, had been admitted at the University of Brussels Hospital and Siddaramaiah had rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning.

Reports are coming in that Rakesh who had always stayed away from politics, had recently spoken to a friend at his birthday celebrations that he was planning on entering politics.

Rakesh, who had tried his hand in Sandalwood (Kannada film industry) was nursing the Varuna Assembly constituency which is presently represented by his father. He was touted to be the next Congress candidate to contest from Varuna.
