BENGALURU: Almost two days after two actors went missing in a suspected case of drowning during the filming of a Kannada film, the search operations continue as the bodies are yet to be traced.

Search operations spearheaded by a team of divers from Mangaluru resumed from 8.30 am on Wednesday morning at Thippegondanahalli reservoir. Five rescue boats and three coracles were used by National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force and others for the rescue operation.

According to officials, a team of naval officers from Karwar are expected to arrive by noon. A drone of a private news channel was also deployed to search for bodies at the edges of the reservoir.

The actors, Anil and Uday drowned on Monday evening, while shooting the climax scenes of the movie 'Masti Gudi'. A large number of locals gathered at the edges of the bank. Police security was beefed to regulate the entry of locals and curious visitors inside the reservoir.
