Karnataka: Bizman shoots self in front of wife, daughter in Ranebennur

The incident occurred on Thursday at the residence of the deceased, Doddakotreshaiah Suttinbhavimath who had recently sold his land to pay back the loans he had taken over the years.

HAVERI: In a shocking incident, a 52-year-businessman, unable to deal with the loss of his business, shot himself dead in front of his wife and daughter at his residence in Ranebennur.

The incident occurred on Thursday at the residence of the deceased, Doddakotreshaiah Suttinbhavimath, located behind Government bus station. Suttinbhavimath had recently sold his land to pay back the loans he had taken over the years.

He shot himself dead with his licensed revolver in front of his family members who were in too much of a shock to react.

A case has been registered in Ranebennur Town.

A relative said, “Doddakotreshaiah is survived by his wife and two daughters. His elder daughter is married and lives in Mudabidri and younger daughter is a college student. He was very friendly and his death has shocked many.”
