MYSURU: For the past four days, a tusker has become a major roadblock for passengers and students travelling along the road between Poonachi and MM Hills. The 40-year-old jumbo, which appears around 8 am, makes it a point to relax on the road for two-three hours making their life miserable as they cannot reach the nearby Hanur and Kollegal towns on time for work and classes.

The delay forces the commuters to try to scare the jumbo away by making noises and blowing the vehicle horns. But with little luck. Although, the public have brought this to the notice of the forest officials, they are at a loss at what to do as it appears from woods. It also appears that it has separated from its herd that is spread across Poonachi Range in MM Hills forest.
