MANGALURU: Ajay Kumar Singh has assumed charge as the new General Manager (GM) of South Western Railway (SWR) zone. Sudanshu Mani, GM of Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, was holding temporary charge at SWR since September 30 following the retirement of the previous GM A K Gupta.
According to a release, Singh held the post of Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer at Gorakhpur in North Eastern Railway before taking charge at the SWR headquarters in Hubballi on October 27. He has also worked as Chief Workshop Engineer and Chief Motive Power Engineer at Gorakhpur and Divisional Railway Manager of Jabalpur Division of West Central Railway. ww
