KOLLAM: BJP state general secretary M.T.Ramesh has urged the Election Commission to take necessary steps to ensure free and fair elections in the northern districts of the state.

   Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Ramesh said that the CPM was trying to subvert the election process with their leaders even threatening the officers of the Election Commission in Kannur district.    Ramesh also demanded probe into all the cases pertaining to links with extremists by the central agency constituted for the purpose.
