PATHANAMTHITTA: Kerala Janapaksham state vice-president Madhusoodanan Nair and the district unit of the party, including district general secretary K.K. Radhakrishnan Nair, resigned from the party in protest against the alleged unilateral decision of party president K. Raman Pillai to support the LDF unconditionally in the Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing a news conference here on Saturday, party district general secretary K.K. Radhakrishnan Nair said that four of the five central committee members from the district were among those who resigned.

Except the district president of the party, 18 members of the 23-member district committee resigned from the party in protest against the decision.

He said the party could not even subscribe to ally with the CPM.
