THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Raju Narayanaswamy, the whistleblower in the Kerala Civil Service cadre, has been shunted out of the General Education Department. Reason: He refused to dilute his recommendation of strong disciplinary action against Vocational Higher Secondary Education director Mohan Abraham. Swamy will now spend time in the Parliamentary Affairs Department without anything serious to do. Top sources in the Education Department told Express that Narayanaswamy earned the wrath of Education Minister MA Baby by repeatedly pointing out serious anomalies in the actions of the VHSE director. At least in half a dozen files, Swamy had recommended disciplinary action, including suspension, against Mohan Abraham. Recently, Swamy identified a financial fraud and sought the explanation of the VHSE director. Mohan Abraham submitted a voucher claiming Rs 5 lakh as the payment made to ASCII-Hyderabad, towards the fees of training imparted to Higher Secondary teachers.
