ANGAMALY: The KSRTC bus terminal complex at Angamaly will be inaugurated by Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan on Wednesday evening. The terminal complex is the firstever joint project of the KSRTC and the Kerala Transport Development Financial Corporation (KTDFC) taken up on BOT basis.

Transport Minister Jose Thettayil will preside over the meeting. Ministers S Sarma, K P Rajendran, N K Premachandran, Ramachandran Kadannappilly and V Surendran Pillai, apart from Congress leader G Karthikeyan, K P Dhanapalan MP, P Rajeev MP, former ministers Mathew T Thomas and Lonappan Nambadan and K Babu MLA, will attend the function.

The town will get a facelift with the commissioning of the bus terminal complex.

"The `34crore project has been completed within two years while the construction of similar projects at Kozhikode (`54 crore), Thiruvananthapuram (`62 crore) and Tiruvalla (`35 crore) are yet to be completed,"Jose Thettayil said. The administrative block will provide better amenities and facilities to the KSRTC employees. The minister said the project was expected to be highly profitable.

"Parking area for 300 twowheelers and 130 cars will be another attraction of the complex. Multiplex cinema will be set on the topfloor of the complex," reception committee general convener Francis Thachil said.
