KASARGOD: The police on Wednesday arrested an autorickshaw driver for sexually abusing a nine-year-old school girl in Chemnad while she was returning home from school.
The police arrested Nizar, 40, residing in a residential quarters in Chemnad. The
girl was his neighbour. According to police, Nizar offered a lift to the girl and her 12-year-old brother. Instead of taking them to their house Nizar took them to an isolated place and sent her brother away to buy sweets. The autorickshaw driver then sexually abused the girl in the vehicle.
