PATHANAMTHITTA: The celebrations in connection with the idol reinstallation ceremony and annual Uthram festival at Vettoor Sree Ayiravillan temple near here concluded with kettukazhcha on Thursday. Thousands of devotees gathered at the temple to witness the display of the kettukazcha held at 4 p.m. The kettukazcha exhibits, included oxen pairs, horses and other art forms made on wooden frame covered with cotton cloths. The members of various karas under the temple brought the exhibits in front of the temple premises for display and to get the blessing of the Lord.

Chendamelam, panchavadym, sinkarimelam, pampamelam and karakam were the special attractions at the kettukazcha. The festival concluded with kodiyirakku, valiyakanikka and fireworks display in the evening.

Dance, drama, music concert and discourse were the cultural programmes held as part of the Uthram festival.
