Saritha duped global business firms too

The layman was not the only victim of solar panel scamster Saritha S Nair, but international business groups too were taken for a ride by her false promises. 

One of her victims was Atlas Jewellery, which has branches worldwide. Police said the management had lodged a complaint just two days back.

“The complaint says it had paid an advance of Rs 23.50 lakh to Saritha on June 6, 2012, for supply of solar panels for its new branch at Palarivattom here,” police said. In another case, Saritha fleeced Regina George of Chilavannoor `95.86 lakh by offering partnership and dealership of an energy company. Joy of Moovattupuzha is another victim of Saritha’s fraud. He lodged a complaint with the North police after he was not delivered the solar panels for which he had paid Rs 1.60 lakh.

Another case against Saritha is pending before the Judicial First Class magistrate Court in a case related to bouncing of a cheque amounting to Rs 3 lakh.
