Bitti moves HC against DNA test

Express News Service

Bitihotra Mohanty alias Bitty Mohanty, the prime accused in a case related to the rape of a German tourist in Alwar, Rajasthan, filed a petition before the Kerala High Court challenging an order issued by Sessions Court, Thalassery, granting permission to conduct a DNA test on him.

The prosecution case is that Mohanty, who was sentenced in the rape case, went absconding after he was released on parole. He also secured the job of probationary officer with a leading bank under the name Raghav Rajan of Andhra Pradesh.

In the petition, it is claimed that he was not Bitty but Raghav Rajan. He further submitted that though the police took him to the jail in Rajasthan for collecting evidence, nothing could be traced.
