DYFI calls for arrest of Sangh leader Revenue officials

Express News Service

The Ernakulam district committee of the DYFI has demanded the inclusion of Arms Act and Attempt to Murder in the charges levelled against the Sangh Parivar activists accused of attacking a couple in a KSRTC bus at Muvatupuzha.

Speaking at a press conference at Muvatupuzha, S Sathish, DYFI district secretary and P Vasudevan, district president said that the “fascist face of Sangh Parivar has become evident from the heinous and organised attack against a woman and her husband”. The DYFI also demanded that the police immediately arrest Ka Ba Surendran, the senior Sangh Parivar leader who allegedly engineered the attack.

“The fact that the entire attack was executed as per the suggestion by Ka Ba Surendran, a top RSS intellectual in Kerala, sheds light on the undemocratic culture of the saffron politics. The most disturbing fact is that the top saffron leadership is deliberately painting the victims in bad light,” S Sathish said.  The DYFI criticised the RSS stand that “physical assault against couple happened accidentally as an emotional reaction”.   He said the intervention by the DYFI prevented the agenda of the communal groups to gain political points.
