Corruption: Kerala additional chief secretary appears before anti-graft cell

KOCHI: Kerala additional chief secretary Tom Jose on Thursday appeared before Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) in connection with a case related to amassment of wealth disproportionate to known source of income.
 
Tom Jose appeared before VACB Special Cell deputy superintendent of police K R Venugopalan at latter's office in Kochi.

According to VACB officials, Tom Jose appeared before the investigation team at around 10.50 AM. Subsequently, he was asked to produce all the documents related to sources of the income and investments made by him. 
 
In October 2016, VACB, following a case registered against Tom Jose, inquired and found that he owns wealth to the tune of Rs 1.91 crore disproportionate to known source of income. VACB had also raided the office and residences of Tom Jose in Kochi and other parts of the State.
