Maharaja’s College Principal receives anonymous letter abusing Abhimanyu

The anonymous letter was received by principal K N Krishna Kumar and it was handed over to the police.

KOCHI:  Triggering panic among the Maharaja’s College authorities and students, the principal has received an anonymous letter abusing the slain SFI activist Abhimanyu and criticising the financial help extended by the college authorities to his family members.

The anonymous letter was received by principal K N Krishna Kumar and it was handed over to the police. “The writer also blames the college authorities for providing financial aid to the family of the victim while saying that there are also others who deserve such help,” said the principal detailing the contents of the missive. 

Meanwhile, the police team probing the case on Saturday received custody of three accused in the case till July 28. Considering a petition moved by the investigation, a court granted custody of the first accused Muhammad J I, fifth accused Adhil Bin and Shanavas K K, the 25th accused in the case for a detailed interrogation.

The cops are also in search of Muhammad Rifa, CFI state secretary and student of a private law college in the district; Arif Bin, brother of Adhil, among others. According to cops, Muhammad Rifa was leading the squad, which unleashed violence at the Maharaja’s College.
