THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Facebook page of Kerala Police created a history of sorts when they pipped the New York Police to the second spot in the number of likes garnered.
Currently, Kerala Police’s official page has got 8.20 lakh likes, while it is 7.83 lakh for New York Police.
Kerala Police recently went past Bengaluru City Police to become India’s most liked Facebook page of a police force.

The police Facebook page became popular owing to tongue-in-cheek responses and trolls.
The page has now become a major communication channel for the police for public outreach as general guidelines, traffic awareness, legal opinion and cyber instructions are being disseminated regularly via the page.
