CUTTACK: THE seventh Fit Fat Bioscope Award 2010 would be bestowed on actor Mahasweta Ray in recognition of her contribution to the Oriya film industry. She would be presented with a silver filigree bioscope, Rs 25,000 and a citation at a ceremony at Sahid Bhawan on December 19.
The Bioscope award has gained immense popularity over the years due to its unique format. The ceremony involves a 90minute screen and live show in documentary format depicting the life and career of the recipients. The presentation combines audiovisual clips of the recipient's outstanding works with live performances based on him/her. Actor Parbati Ghosh, actordirector Prashanta Nanda, music director Swaroop Nayak, actor Uttam Mohanty and filmmaker Basant Nayak are the earlier recipients.
