BHUBANESWAR: Five students were injured following a clash near CET Campus during the Academic Council meeting of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) here this evening.

 The students of BPUT and that of CET traded charges. Several bikes that were parked were also smashed during the incident. Two platoons of police force are now deployed to watch the situation.

 The clash broke out after the academic council meeting of BPUT. Some of the students of BPUT constituent colleges protested it saying none of their representatives was invited to the council meeting. It was then a scuffle broke out which led to a clash, DCP Himansu Lal said. Police reached the place and defused tension.
