Green city policy soon

The State Government will soon formulate a Green City Policy (GCP) for high rise buildings and upcoming industries in the City. This is first time that a dedicated policy for green buildings will be formulated by State Government.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Odisha, in collaboration with Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) organised a conference on ‘Green Odisha’ on Wednesday. CII Sohrabji Godrej Green Building Centre (GBC) senior director S Raghupathy said construction of a green building usually costs only two to five per cent more than the non-green buildings.H & UD Department principal secretary, Injeti Srinivas said, “We are contemplating a tie-up with  them to formulate policy.”
